Macedonia, Ohio - Girl Scouts is where you'll find some of the most inspired innovators and creative visionaries anywhere, so we're excited to announce that Girl Scouts of the USA has partnered with JOANN Stores to ignite the creative spark in all girls – all while promoting our mission.
As part of a brand new Girl Scout Rewards program, JOANN, the nation’s leading craft and fabric retailer, is offering 15 percent off all eligible purchases every day for Girl Scouts! The discount is available in stores and online. JOANN guarantees that a minimum of $1.5 million from the Girl Scout Rewards program will go back to GSUSA over the next three years, demonstrating its deep commitment to girls’ leadership development. These funds will support the Girl Scout mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.
But wait, there’s more! JOANN is also offering in-kind education, in-store events and access to classroom spaces for troop meetings and other Girl Scout events. Plus, troops will be welcome to host cookie booths in front of JOANN stores across the country.
To celebrate this new collaboration, JOANN stores are hosting Girl Scout Day on Saturday, September 23 for all Girl Scout members. Attendees can enjoy making their own sit-upon, as well as connect with their local JOANN representative. Members of the public can speak with Girl Scouts of North East Ohio volunteers to learn more about the organization, becoming a member, and volunteering. Girl Scouts of North East Ohio CEO, Jane Christyson, will be at the Hudson, OH JOANN store for comment.
A rewards program that encourages creativity and invests in girls? We couldn’t ask for a more perfect start to the Girl Scout year!

We're Girl Scouts of the USA. We're 2.6 million strong—1.8 million girls and 800,000 adults who believe in the power of every G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ to change the world. Our extraordinary journey began more than 100 years ago with the original G.I.R.L., Juliette Gordon “Daisy” Low. On March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia, she organized the very first Girl Scout troop, and every year since, we’ve honored her vision and legacy, building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. We’re the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. And with programs from coast to coast and across the globe, Girl Scouts offers every girl a chance to practice a lifetime of leadership, adventure, and success.
